Description
-
A kiosk providing information about the Pond and Meadow path and exhibit area.
-
Brief Description
-
In 2000, the EcoTarium created this exhibit path to show the difference between a meadow and a lawn. A variety of areas highlight different features of a meadow and pond habitat.
-
In Depth Description
-
In 2000, the EcoTarium took out a lawn and planted this meadow instead. Why?
A meadow provides pollen for bees, nectar for butterflies, seeds and berries for birds, and shelter for rabbits.
It is a habitat. And it is linked to the other habitats around it.
Come Explore the Living Exhibits
How is a meadow different than a lawn? In the year 2000, the EcoTarium converted what was a large open lawn into this meadow exhibit.
Up ahead you'll find our River Otters, and other living exhibits.
